A Journey Through Colombia

On Friday September 16, 2011 at 3:30 P.M. there will be a concert featuring Colombian singer Claudia Grenier in the Niles Gallery of the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library. The concert will be followed by light refreshments at 4:30 P.M. This is event is sponsored by the Latin American Studies program as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Concierto Musical Latinoamericano

On Wednesday September 21, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. there will be a Latin American music concert in Worsham theater featuring Latin American Studies professors and graduate students from the School of Music. The concert is sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program and the School of Music.

Online Spanish Class for Health Professionals Fills Need

 

The University of Kentucky's Department of Hispanic Studies is expanding its online course selection this summer to encompass an expanding foreign language need in the community, the Commonwealth and across the globe. Spanish for Health Professionals is the name of this wholly-online summer course, and fundamental health language, Hispanic culture and lifestyle are the topics at hand.
