I received a B.A. in English studies then completed a graduate program in High School Teaching from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain (2000).  In 2009 I received and M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo & Instituto Cervantes in Madrid, Spain. My master’s thesis explored the application of a language needs analysis into the developing of Spanish courses for police officers.  In 2014 I received a M.A. in Hispanic Studies, from the University of Kentucky.
